The Jasper County Fair

Last week we visited the Jasper Count Fair. We visit a barn in our neighborhood where a family has been keeping their daughters 4H hogs. We made sure to visit the night she would be showing. G had lots of fun and was very excited that Mira (and family) joined us.

It was HOT
and G was obsessed with this fan
One of the students I visit - she placed high
The baby goats were cute
Gramps we want you to get some of these
G was telling Mira the names of the equipment

Yes , they were prompted to hold hands.

No rides at this fair but maybe when he goes with Gramps and Grandma to the Bourbon County Fair.

Silver Dollar City

A couple of Sundays ago we headed to Silver Dollar City with Gramps and Grandma Becki. It wasn't very warm so we didn't do any water rides but still it was a great day. Greyson had tons of fun and even handled standing in a long line waiting to ride his first roller coaster.

Riding the roller coaster with Gramps. They had their hands up at first.

The Teacups was the only ride we could ride together.

The first ride by himself.

This isn't made for an adult :) but Michael and I made it one.

The best fried hot dog and spiral potato. He ate the whole thing.

He loved the swings.

We did get season passes so we will get back soon. We need to hit those water rides for sure.

We Have a Swimmer

Maybe not a real swimmer yet, but we have a little boy who goes underwater on his own and LOVES it! Michael (and me sometimes) have taken him swimming a few times over the last few weeks and he is doing so great. It really has us looking forward to summer at the lake.

Friday Appointments and More

Entertained in the waiting room (yes he lined up the "dogs")
So sorry it took me so long to get this posted today. It was a longer day than expected at the hospital and then I thought we were headed to the room for a nap and Greyson decided he didn't need one ;)

Waiting for his turn with the iPad (iGuy) and Daddy.
Sclero went well. Dr. Shields treated a lot of small cysts in his chest, behind his collar bone, and upper are. There is really only one larger cyst left in his elbow that will be taken care of in October when Dr. Spaeth works on his elbow, wrist, and hand. Greyson was a bit upset when he woke up and really wanted something to drink but he got through that fairly quickly.

We saw Dr. Spaeth later this afternoon to talk about progress and future plans. We should have dates for October sclero and surgery soon. Everyone is very pleased with Greyson's progress and how great his scar looks. He was a great patient and had fun picking out 2 stickers.

Chloe and Greyson - Sorry he is blurry...this boy never sits still.
We made friends with a family I had friended on Facebook (there daughter's LM is VERY similar to Greyson's and she is just a year older). We had a nice time visiting with them while the kids played here at RMH and we sat by them at dinner.

one of many wooden animals in the new hospital
Such an amazing place.
After dinner we toured the new hospital lobby which is awesome. Then we headed to get some ice cream and walked around a park in German Village.
Jeni's is the BEST!
We are heading out tomorrow afternoon and should be home tomorrow night. Thanks for all the well wishes.

4th of July Festivities

A rodeo, a Popsicle, and fireworks....what else do you need on the 4th of July?
(besides maybe the lake)

A Saturday Morning Request

Greyson and I were sitting around watching some cartoons waiting for Michael to finish mowing so I asked "What do you want to do today?" and he said "Paint!" so we painted.

He's practicing making circles.

Boys of Summer

It seems like summer is almost over and it really has just started.

Greyson has so much fun swimming with Daddy and gets more and more comfortable with being in the water every time we go.

He thinks this is the funniest thing to do.

He quickly learned how to climb up on the deck on his own. He does need a little boost but he will be jumping up on the deck and back down quicker than we think.

Hope you are all enjoying your summer as much as we are.
