Why Wednesday - All Thumbs

Why does a runner need an opposable thumb? (a top 10 list)

10. pull on compression tights
9. pull bra top on/off
8. tying shoes
7. zip jacket
6. put on gloves
5. get gum out of package
4. rip open Clif Bloks
3. get cap off chap-stick
2. squeeze water bottle
1. using iPhone (virtually impossible with band-aid on thumb)

FYI - tried to grate (think cheese grater) off the end of my thumb the other day when making dinner. Knew it would make everyday jobs challenging but didn't think it could make running more difficult ;-)



Marathon Update = ran 5 Monday, 6 today, 2 tomorrow, and MARATHON SUNDAY :) Yipeeee
